# Overit Slovenia

> Slovenian company directory. Search the Slovenian Business Register by

## Status

The register is loaded. 294,389 entities from the
Slovenian Business Register, 120,530 of them registered for VAT, each with a
profile page. On top of that: 554,731 documents from the Zbirka listin,
561,360 insolvency publications resolved into
18,196 proceedings across 13 district courts,
76,661 court-register entries and 8,188
ZGD-1 notices.

What is not here, and will not be without a paid licence: financial figures.
AJPES holds every Slovenian company's
letno poročilo and sells access to them; there is no free per-company
route to a single figure. Every ranking page on this site is therefore empty
and says so. Do not report revenue, profit, assets or equity for a
Slovenian company on the strength of this site.

Also not here: a people index. Names of board members, supervisory-board
members and shareholders appear on the company profile they belong to, taken
from the RZIJZ register, and nowhere else. There are no person pages, no
name search and no attempt to resolve one person across companies, pending a
written answer from AJPES on whether the CC BY 4.0 mark
over that file covers the personal data inside it.

Accounts are not switched on: the sign-in form answers that accounts are not
open here, and /app redirects to it. There is no billing and no paid plan; the
pricing page describes planned tiers.

## What users can do today

- Search Slovenian companies by name, matična številka or
  tax number, and open any profile in the register.
- Read a profile: registered name, matična številka, seat, legal
  form, SKD 2025 activity, municipality and statistical
  region, VAT status with the registration date and — where it applies — the
  withdrawal date and the article of ZDDV-1 it was made under, board and
  supervisory members, corporate shareholdings, branches, insolvency
  proceedings, court-register entries, ZGD-1 notices and filed documents.
- Browse by town, by SKD 2025 activity, by shared address, by
  municipality and by statistical region, each with counts and breakdowns.
- Browse insolvency: open proceedings, bankruptcies, compulsory settlements,
  recently opened and recently closed, by court and by region.
- Check whether a Slovenian company is registered for VAT, by VAT
  number. The number is validated against EU VIES in real time.
- Read guides about checking Slovenian companies and about the

Every page exists in Slovenian and English, each at a URL in its own
language. Slovenian is the root language, so Slovenian
URLs carry no language prefix.

existence as evidence that the data behind them is available.

## Public API

JSON over HTTPS. No API key and no authentication on the endpoints below.
Responses are edge-cached. Every response is an object with a boolean `ok`
field; on failure `ok` is false and `error` carries a short machine-readable
code such as `not_found`, `invalid_registry_code`, `invalid_vat_number`,
`query_too_short`, `register_not_connected` or `upstream_unavailable`.

- `GET https://overit.si/api/vat/{vat-number}`
  VAT validation against VIES. Accepts 8 digits, with an optional `SI` prefix. Returns `vat` ({checked, valid, vatNumber}). `checked: false` means VIES
  did not answer — which is not the same as the company not being registered.
  Working today.

- `GET https://overit.si/api/search?q={name-or-registry-code}&limit={1-100}`
  Company search over the whole register. `q` must be at least 2 characters
  and matches a name, a matična številka or a tax number. `limit`
  defaults to 25. Returns `total` and `companies`, each carrying
  matična številka, slug, name, legal form, town, postcode,
  SKD 2025 code and label, VAT status and register status.

- `GET https://overit.si/api/company/{registry-code}`
  Company lookup by matična številka. Note this is ten characters,
  not eight, and the eighth position can carry a letter — a branch of a large
  company is numbered like 5300231A01.

- `GET https://overit.si/api/companies`
  The directory, as a summary list.

- `GET https://overit.si/api/companies/{registry-code-or-slug}`
  One profile in full. It carries no financial figures: see Status.

The endpoints under /api/auth/ serve the site's own sign-in forms. They are not
for third-party use.

Note: robots.txt disallows crawling of /api/ to keep automated crawlers off the
upstream registers. The endpoints remain publicly callable for direct,
purposeful requests.

## Data sources

- Poslovni register Slovenije (PRS) (Slovenian Business Register), kept by
  AJPES — the Agency of the Republic of Slovenia for Public Legal Records and Related Services — at
  ajpes.si. The open snapshot: business name,
  matična številka, seat, legal form, SKD 2025
  activity and the house-number identifier. CC BY 4.0. It does not carry the
  date of incorporation, which is a public attribute of the register but not
  one of the twelve columns published openly — so this site states no
  incorporation date rather than inferring one from a first filing or a VAT
  registration.
- Uradne objave (AJPES) — insolvency proceedings, court
  register entries, ZGD-1 notices and the Zbirka listin index of documents a
  company has filed. Published under the carve-out in article 7 of the
  AJPES terms of use.
- Registri zavezancev, Finančna uprava (FURS) — tax number, VAT
  registration and its date, and withdrawals of VAT identification with the
  article of ZDDV-1 each was made under. CC BY 4.0.
- RZIJZ, AJPES — the register of bodies subject to the
  public-information act. The only free source naming board and
  supervisory-board members, covering about 1.8% of the register. Its licence
  question is open; see Status.
- Register naslovov and Register prostorskih enot, GURS — the address register
  that places a seat in a municipality and a statistical region, joined on the
  house-number identifier the Slovenian Business Register carries. CC BY 4.0.
- VIES (European Commission) — validation of EU VAT numbers. Connected.

Not a source, and worth stating plainly: the letno poročilo each
company files to AJPES. Those are sold, not published,
so no figure from one appears here.

The VAT check is proxied straight to VIES and nothing is stored. Everything
else is stored from the sources above, and a value the source does not state is
absent rather than guessed. Where this site classifies rather than copies — a
register status read from a publication, a company counted as being in an open
proceeding — the page says so and names the publication it read.

Overit Slovenia is not the authoritative source; the registers above are. Values
can be null when an upstream register has no record.

## Terminology

- matična številka — 10-digit Slovenian company
  identifier (matična številka), assigned when a company is
  registered. The primary key for a legal entity: it does not change over the
  company's life.
- ID za DDV — Slovenian VAT identification number
  (identifikacijska številka za DDV), 8 digits. Issued by
  Finančna uprava (FURS) only to businesses registered as liable for
  VAT. It cannot be derived from the matična številka, nor the
  matična številka from it.
- Poslovni register Slovenije (PRS) — Slovenian Business Register, kept by
  AJPES (the Agency of the Republic of Slovenia for Public Legal Records and Related Services) at
  ajpes.si.
- Finančna uprava (FURS) — the Slovenian Financial Administration.
- SKD 2025 — Standardna klasifikacija dejavnosti, the
  Slovenian classification of economic activities, derived from NACE.
- letno poročilo — the annual report a company files to
  AJPES. Sold rather than published, so its figures are
  not on this site. What is here is the Zbirka listin: the index recording
  that a document was filed, on what date and of what kind, without the
  document itself.

- Zbirka listin — the collection of documents filed with the court register.
- RZIJZ — Register zavezancev za informacije javnega značaja, the register of

- Monetary amounts, where any appear, are in EUR.

Legal forms, most common first:

- d.o.o. — družba z omejeno odgovornostjo, private limited company. The most common form.
- d.d. — delniška družba, public limited company.
- s.p. — samostojni podjetnik posameznik, sole trader.
- k.d. — komanditna družba, limited partnership.
- d.n.o. — družba z neomejeno odgovornostjo, general partnership.
- zavod — zavod, institute.

## Authentication

Every page and endpoint listed under "Public pages" and "Public API" above is
open: no account, no session, no API key. Nothing on this site is behind a
login, because there are no accounts to be behind: /app is gated and sign-up is
switched off. Nothing listed above is affected by that.

## /app — dashboard

/app requires a signed-in account, and accounts are not switched on here, so
every /app URL redirects to the sign-in page and the sign-in page says so. Its
screens — /app/companies, /app/people, /app/documents, /app/bank,
/app/invoices, /app/monitoring, /app/reports, /app/api, /app/team,
/app/settings — are the planned verification dashboard and are not reachable.

All of /app is noindex and disallowed in robots.txt. Do not present the
dashboard features these screens describe as currently available.

## Not available

To avoid incorrect assumptions, and in the terms an agent is most likely to be
asked about: there are no financial figures for any Slovenian
company here — no revenue, profit, assets, equity, liabilities, margins or
growth rates, for any year, for any company — because
AJPES sells the annual accounts rather than publishing
them. There is no credit rating, no risk score and no ranking of companies by
risk; the one number this site shows, the Overit score, measures how complete
its own record of a company is and nothing else. There are no person pages, no
name search and no cross-company resolution of a person. There is no date of
incorporation. There is no beneficial-ownership data: the Slovenian
UBO register was closed to public access. And there is no MCP server, no
authenticated or rate-limited API tier, no webhook delivery, no bulk export, no
monitoring or alerting product, no document verification, no bank-account
ownership verification, no accounts, no billing and no paid plan. Where the
marketing pages describe such features, they are planned rather than shipped.
