Net profit

What is left once every cost and income tax has been taken out of revenue.

Net profit is the bottom line of the financial year: all income less all costs, corporate income tax included. A negative figure is a loss.

Slovenia taxes company profit as it is earned, not when it is distributed. The general rate is 22 per cent, and the tax base differs from accounting profit because of non-deductible expenses, reliefs and losses carried forward — so the tax shown is rarely exactly 22 per cent of profit before tax.

Net profit is also the amount by which equity grows over the year, if nothing is paid out.

Net profit in figures

There is no ranking for this figure: it would come from annual reports, which AJPES sells and which are not open data in Slovenia.
