Legal form
The legal form a business takes — d.o.o., d.d., s.p., k.d. and others.
The legal form decides who is liable for a company's obligations, what it has to file, and what the register publishes about it. In Slovenia the most common is the private limited company (družba z omejeno odgovornostjo, d.o.o.), where the owners' liability is limited to what they put in.

The most common form.; d.d. — delniška družba, public limited company; s.p. — samostojni podjetnik posameznik, sole trader; k.d. — komanditna družba, limited partnership; d.n.o. — družba z neomejeno odgovornostjo, general partnership; zavod — zavod, institute.
